In 1982 the first Cremeria Vienna store was founded in Taranto thanks to the savings of Vincenzo Mazzuto and two other partners. In the first two years the business did not give the expected revenues and the two partners decided to sell their shares. Vincenzo, who had invested everything in the project, took over the entire business and involved his brother Giovanni in this adventure.
In the following years, thanks to the goodness of the homemade ice cream, the ice cream shop began to be quite successful, and what was made was invested in two more outlets, also in Taranto.
The mixtures were prepared in the small laboratory at the first location and then distributed to the other outlets.
“We have always been ice cream connoisseurs and have refined the recipe through the search for the best raw materials and continuous testing.”
Cremeria Vienna’s Philosophy has always been to create the best artisanal ice cream. In 1999 Cremeria Vienna also became a franchise, with the goal of being able to produce the same artisanal ice cream anywhere in the world.
In 2010 the international trademark was registered, and in 2011 the brand opened outlets in Italy and Greece.
Over the years, the production of homemade ice cream has been joined by that of crepes, milkshakes, parfaits, granitas, yogurt, hot creams, brioches and waffles; all following the Cremeria Vienna philosophy based on the quality of products and raw materials.
In 2022, also through an intuition of Antonio, son of Vincenzo the Cremeria Vienna began to churn out buns and especially special panettone cakes.
Thus the brands “ETRA Lievitati Mazzuto” and especially ” Panettone ETRA” were born. All this while the historic headquarters in Lama, which also serves as the company’s headquarters, is being renovated in a new modern and colorful look, characterized by black and white, combined with the colors of the newly established Etra brand.
The goal for the coming years is to continue the expansion of the Cremeria Vienna brand.

Our ice creams are made every day in the store respecting the tradition of the Italian ice cream masters. We use high quality whole milk and cream for our ice cream. In our ice creams we do not use fruit essences but only fresh seasonal fruit, for us quality is a fundamental rule.
